Wiseguys Big Band

Immerse yourself into the pachuco culture of Chicano youth from the 1940s as we celebate the 35th anniversary of Luis Valdez’ 1981 film Zoot Suit! Enjoy an outdoor screening of the film and don’t miss your chance to meet actors from the original production and film including Alma Martinez, Mike Gomez, Sal Lopez and Rose Portillo! This event is co-presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Come prepared to show off your jitterbug during a pachuco dance contest accompanied by a live swing band and dance to the sounds of DJ Salvaje, The Wiseguys, and El Pachuco Jose
Take a stroll through some classic cars from the Petersons Automotive Museum’s collection and Duke’s Clar Club
Enjoy some unique artisinal cupcakes from Viva Los Cupcakes and some freshly spun cotton candy from Love Swirls
